Christa Fast

The program started with the special guest, Mrs Christa Fast. She was the wife of Conny Plank, who had produced the first Eurythmics album, so she had known Annie and Dave for a long time and really well. She narrated for about one hour and a half about the musical beginnings of the Eurythmics.

This was most interesting and amusing. Of course, she did not forget to speak about the origins of The Mermaid (You all know that Annie had taken over the English part of it). I did not miss to buy the CD and to have it signed by Mrs Fast.

Slowly both sides became less nervous, and a relaxing talk developed between Mrs Fast and the fans. I think I am speaking for all when I say that her visit was the absolute highlight of the day.

Soon after her talk Mrs Fast said farewell because she was very busy. If she hadn't had so much to do, I think she would have liked to stay longer. Before leaving, she accepted a flower bouquet as a present from Ino.

Then we watched the video clips from the We Too Are One Promo video on the big screen. It consisted of great footage that I had not seen before.

Time for dinner. It was 6 p.m. and we went to the restaurant of the Queens hotel to have a light meal. In the meanwhile we told each other anecdotes. This was very exciting and humourous and at the same time relaxed. It was just like you would expect it when fans are amongst themselves.
